They Are Lying to You About Israel. Here Is the Inescapable Truth.
They believe you are a fool. They believe if they repeat a lie often enough, in enough headlines, from enough mouths, it will become your truth. They are counting on your ignorance, your short memory, and your desire for a simple story with a clear villain.
But the story they are selling is a poisonous inversion of reality. In their twisted fable, the firefighter is the arsonist, the defender is the aggressor, and the victim is the perpetrator. We are here to burn that fable to the ground. The choice is not complicated. It is a choice between a civilized democracy and a genocidal death cult. It is a choice between life and death.
The Symphony of Slander
Let’s call the current media narrative what it is: a coordinated campaign of psychological warfare. It is a house of cards built on decontextualized images, anonymous sources, and the deliberate, cynical exploitation of tragedy—a tragedy engineered by Hamas itself.
Every day, you are bombarded with headlines accusing the Israeli Defense Forces—a military of citizens, our sons and daughters—of heinous war crimes. They scream about attacks on “unarmed civilians” at aid distribution points, conveniently omitting the Hamas gunmen firing from within those very crowds, using desperate people as human shields. They publish sensational exposés, often laundered through self-loathing internal sources, claiming our soldiers have orders to shoot indiscriminately. This is a grotesque lie. The only indiscriminate actors in this conflict are the terrorists who launched this war and who continue to fire rockets from behind strollers and hospital beds. They built their entire military infrastructure underneath the civilian population of Gaza. Every school, every mosque, every hospital they turned into a command center is a pre-meditated war crime designed for one purpose: to maximize their own civilian casualties for the cameras.
When a tragic strike occurs, they report it as a malicious act. They never report on the dozens of strikes that are called off at the last second because a child wanders into the frame. They never show you the leaflets, the phone calls, the text messages Israel sends to warn civilians to evacuate. They are not interested in the truth of Israel’s unprecedented efforts to mitigate harm in an impossible urban battlefield of Hamas’s own design. They are interested in a single, damning narrative that paints the Jewish state as a monster. It is the oldest lie in the book, repackaged for the 21st century.
The Truth We Can't Forget
Their campaign of lies has one primary objective: to make you forget October 7. To erase it from your memory. To treat it as a footnote, a mere preamble to the “real” story of Israeli aggression. We will not let them.
October 7 was not an “attack.” It was a medieval pogrom, broadcast in high definition. It was the systematic, gleeful slaughter of mothers in front of their children, the rape and mutilation of women, the burning of entire families in their homes, and the kidnapping of infants and grandmothers. It was the single most horrific massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. This is not hyperbole. This is the bedrock truth of this war. It is the “why.”
This war is not a choice. It is a terrible, gut-wrenching necessity. The objective is not revenge, and it is certainly not conquest. The objective is to ensure that a terrorist organization, whose founding charter explicitly calls for the annihilation of Israel and the murder of Jews everywhere, can never again perpetrate an October 7. We are fighting to solve the terror problem, not to manage it. To do anything less would be a suicidal betrayal of our murdered, our kidnapped, and our future generations.
I feel a profound sadness that we even have to explain this. We hoped the world would see the barbarism of that day and understand. We hoped the smoke from our burning kibbutzim would be enough. But our patience for this willful blindness has run out.
The Moral Chasm
Let us be brutally clear about the moral contrast here, for it is as wide as the chasm between darkness and light. On one side, you have Israel: a vibrant, multi-ethnic democracy where citizens, Jewish and Arab, serve as doctors, judges, and soldiers. A nation that, even while at war, wrestles with the most complex ethical questions in its open press and Supreme Court. A nation that prosecutes the abhorrent, criminal actions of a tiny fringe of extremists within its own population—because that is what a nation of laws does. Our enemies seize upon these rare instances of “Jewish terrorism” and trumpet them as proof of our evil. What contemptible hypocrisy. It is a sign of our moral health that we confront our demons; it is a sign of their depravity that they celebrate theirs.
On the other side stands Hamas. A totalitarian death cult funded by Iran, which executed a strategy of mass civilian murder and proudly filmed it. They do not value the lives of their own people, let alone ours. They use international aid to build terror tunnels, not shelters. They use ambulances to transport fighters. They use children as propaganda tools, both in life and, tragically, in death. To draw any moral equivalence between the IDF soldier trying to disarm a bomb and the terrorist who planted it in a kindergarten is a sign of a profound moral rot.
The Imperative of Survival
This is not a war being prolonged for the political survival of any one leader, as cynical commentators in safe, faraway countries suggest. This is a war for the survival of the nation itself. To stop now, to bow to the immense international pressure, would be to hand a strategic victory to the forces of jihadist terror.
It would tell Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and every other terror group that their strategy works: slaughter civilians, hide behind your own, and wait for the world’s misplaced empathy to tie your victim’s hands. A ceasefire that leaves Hamas in power is not a path to peace. It is a down payment on the next, more horrific massacre.
The threat of a review of the EU-Israel Association Agreement is not a tool of justice; it is a weapon of blackmail. It punishes the victim for the crime of self-defense. It is a shocking failure of moral clarity from a continent that should know better than any other what happens when you try to appease those who are committed to your destruction.
The choice is clear. You can believe the lazy, malicious lies of those who have a vested interest in the destruction of the world’s only Jewish state. Or you can stand with the truth.
So what can you do?
- Share this truth. Do not let the lies stand unchallenged in your social media feeds or conversations.
- Demand clarity from your elected officials. Ask them if they stand with a democracy fighting terror, or with the terrorists.
- Do not be silent. Your voice is a weapon in the fight for civilization. Use it now before it's too late.
